PIT3 SECURE & TRAFFICABLE EARTH PIT
Description
Trafficable polyethylene inspection pit with 5-way copper busbar, for earthing and lightning protection systems. The PIT3 is moulded in tough, corrosion-free polyethylene. It gives protected, accessible termination and inspection of earth electrodes, and takes the matched PIT3-EBAR 5-way copper busbar (sold separately) for down conductors, earth electrodes and bonding conductors. Tested to 50kN (5 tonne) for 120 seconds without permanent deformation, it suits driveways, car parks, footpaths and hardstand.

The lid does the labelling
Lid moulded with the IEC earth symbol, 5T load rating, PIT3 and GNDWELD – the pit identifies itself on site, no separate labelling required. Ribbed top face for slip resistance and load distribution; 2 × integrated lifting slots for tool-free removal and 2 × independent screws to secure the lid as required.
PIT3-EBAR – sold separately
Matched 5-way copper busbar, ordered separately as required. Supplied with 5 × M10 × 35 brass bolt sets – stainless steel spring washer, flat washer and nut. Accepts standard cable lugs without adaptors.
