Description

The Utilitool UHVS HV XLPE Stripping tools are a multi function cable preparation tool capable of outer jacket stripping, XLPE stripping and semicon shaving in one tool. While well suited to working with large cables, they can also make preparing smaller cables a breeze.

Guided by 6x roller bearings, it turns easily and reliably tracks along the cable surface making light work of heavy cables.

The main stripping blade can be set shallow to take off the outer jackets such as HDPE and PVC, or extended to strip up to 15mm thick XLPE insulation. A second blade is used to shave bonded semicon up to 1.5mm deep and down to 50mm separation distance between semicon cutback point and subsequent covering layer. The UHVS semicon shaving leaves a great surface with low roughness, reducing the amount of polishing work required to finish the insulation surface.
